Being a Specialist School has brought many benefits to Sandy Upper School, including extension of our existing curriculum, training for staff and students, resources for departments, improvement in ICT and support for student athletes working at all levels.

In 2004 we were able to refurbish our Sports Hall and Squash Courts. In September 2005 the newly built Athletics Track and Fitness Gym were opened. These wil greatly enhance the school and community sporting facilities.
