What does L & T involve?

You will study three units of work over two years.

Unit A – Investigating Leisure and Tourism
Looking at facilities including hotels, restaurants, leisure centres, theme parks and tourist information centres.

Unit B – Marketing in Leisure and Tourism
Looking at promotional techniques.

Unit C – Investigating Customer Service
Dealing with customers.

 
Do you have to do exams?

Yes, but only for Unit A
You will develop portfolio evidence through assignments for the other two units.
 
What can you do when you have a GCSE in Leisure and Tourism?

You can...

  • move to Advanced Leisure and Recreation
  • you can work in any of the following types of jobs...
    Recreation assistant, catering, conference organiser, cinema worker, swimming pool attendant/manager, tourist information, hotel services, restaurants, travel rep.
