The Music area at Sandy Upper School is part of the Expressive Arts Curriculum Area along with Drama and Art.

In Music we aim to provide a learning environment that promotes and encourages the enjoyment of music at all ages and levels of experience.

The Music area is equipped with two teaching rooms and a suite of practice rooms.

We also have a selection of instruments for classroom work. These include untuned percussion, glockenspiels, xylophones, keyboards, guitars, recorders and pianos.

At present the Department owns six computers which are installed with a variety of music software, including Sibelius and Cubasis.

We also have use of fifteen laptop computers in the Classroom of the Future.

These are also installed with Sibelius and Cubasis software. All our ICT is used within all years from 9 - 13.
