Sandy Upper on Remembrance Day
On 11/11/11 every member of Sandy Upper gathered together on the tennis courts to have a 2 minutes silence so we could remember those we had lost in conflict and wars. I would like to thank the professional bugle player that played the 'Last Post' so we could commence our silence. As well as this I would like to add that we are not only remembering those soldiers we lost in the 1st and 2nd World Wars, but those we have lost in the more recent conflicts such as the Iraq War and the Libyan Conflict. Every soldier that has fought to solve conflicts and defend our nation we should give our upmost respect and gratitude, without them the world would be a much worst place than it is at this present time. Lastly I want to give my personal thanks to everyone for showing this respect and I hope we can do the same next year
