Sandy Upper School Donates To Children In Need
On the 18th November 2011, Sandy Upper helped raise money for Children In Need and the Children’s Leukaemia Ward at Addenbrooke’s Charity. Every member of Sandy Upper was invited to come in non-school uniform and pay £1.00 towards the cause, the total of money raised has not yet been realised, but is estimated to be over £800.00 which is a great achievement. The money will be split 50-50 towards both charities, and I am sure that they will be very thankful of your donation.
The money raised for Children In Need does mainly remain in this country and goes towards making dreams happen, such as building new community centres, creating new schemes etc to bring people closer together. We are in tough economic times and to raise a total of over 26 million on the night is a tremendous achievement, we have the peace of mind to know that we have helped to achieve this and hope we can do the same again.
