ICT AUP

The school has a requirement to ensure that children and young people are able to use the internet and related communications technologies appropriately and safely.

With the increase in use of computers, the internet, mobile devices, and the availability of mobile phones and ipods, it has become necessary to introduce an Acceptable Use Policy in order to safeguard our students’ use of such technologies.

The Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) is a document detailing the ways in which ICT facilities can and cannot be used in the school by students, and allows us to put in place sanctions, procedures and support strategies for dealing with misuse.

Every student is given an assembly on the rationale and content details of the Acceptable Use Policy and he/she has agreed to the school’s requirements. We would like to ask for parents and carers support in helping us to maintain a safe environment for the students. Therefore we ask parents and carers to please read through the Acceptable Use Policy and sign and return it to us for our records.

If you do have any questions with regard to the Acceptable Use Policy please do not hesitate to contact Mr C Kilby at the school. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
